Before 1986, RDS was known as MINCO, and had provided radon testing for mines and uranium exploration during the 1960?s and 1970?s. In the mid 80?s, after elevated levels of radon gas were discovered in private residential homes, MINCO began to offer private radon testing and changed its name to (RDS), Radon Detection Systems.
